Help Build Unity and Help the Wider Community!

Service Day for all Students and Staff Members

On January 22, we will celebrate and honor our patron Saint Vincent Pallotti, a forward thinker who was ahead of his time in preaching that every person is holy and made in the image and likeness of God. We are all children of God and are called to love each other and treat each other like family.

Pallotti is considered the Father of Social Action. To honor his unwavering commitment to the poor and powerless, we have planned a school wide day of service. Every staff member and every student will have an opportunity to be a part of serving the wider community. It is our greatest hope that this day will give us the opportunity to learn more about St. Vincent, to grow in unity of mission in service to the poor and to be a beacon of light in the community around us.

A FREE ITALIAN LUNCH will be provided for all those serving on Campus. You may bring your own lunch. There will be no food service for purchase at Pallotti on the day of the event. If you are off campus see your permission slip for details on lunch and required attire. Permission slips will be distributed and collected by Union Leaders leading each site.

The students on campus will be engaged in a variety of projects, all supporting people who are poor or marginalized.

On campus, we will be packing care packages, painting rocks and designing scripture versus for shut ends. We are making a gift for the children at Sarah‘s house. We will be making dinner for the 65 women and children in residence at Sarah’s house and 100 lunches for Elizabeth House. We are making blankets to be given to the homeless and large 8 large casseroles for dinner for Elizabeth House. We also have two advocacy sites, where young people will work to grow their understanding about respect for human life.

St. Vincent spent his life caring for the most poor and the most vulnerable in the world around him. As members of St. Vincent Pallotti High School, living out his charism, we strive to do the same.
