Recognizing that a student's academic and personal achievement can be significantly affected by the involvement of parents in the school, the St. Vincent Pallotti Parent Guild has been established to:
Promote communication between parents and the school
Provide social and spiritual opportunities for parents
Support the Post Prom safe celebration held for students
Coordinate volunteer efforts within the school
The Parent Guild supports the school through a broad range of committees, such as:
Post Prom Committee: In order to help keep our students safe on prom night, this committee organizes and plans the Post Prom Party, an all-night safe event that include games, food, all sorts of entertainment and special gifts for the students. Past parties have been held on an all-night cruise and at Dave and Buster's. Freshman and sophomore parents are encouraged to help with this committee. The committee sponsors several fund-raisers throughout the year, including a student/faculty basketball game; flower sales, bake sales and doughnut sales; raffle for a Prom Basket of useful items and gift certificates; and Tag Days.
Parent Mentoring Committee: New this school year, this committee will reach out to parents of incoming students by providing a parent-to-parent link between new families and our school. Through phone calls, email and other links, mentors work one-on-one, answering questions, providing useful information and following up as newcomers enjoy recognizing that they are also part of the “Pallotti Family.”
Hospitality Committee: This band of volunteers organizes teacher breakfasts and lunches and helps with refreshments at Back-to-School Night, Open House and class retreats.
Fall and Spring Clean-Ups: Twice a year, students and parents help to spruce-up the school grounds with landscaping, plantings and other tasks. Students can earn service hours.
Parent Volunteer Committee: The school staff and administration can call on the help of our bank of parent volunteers for various events and activities throughout the school year. Volunteering is a great way to get that behind-the-scenes look at what goes on at our school, as well as meet other parents and offer some much-need support to school-wide activities.
Uniform Exchange Committee: Donations of gently used school uniforms can be dropped off in the Uniform Exchange Box in the Sister Lucy Lobby (the old entry foyer). Uniform Exchanges are held throughout the year to help parents save some money on purchasing school uniform items.
